Artist Statement

Destiny McKinney

Hi, I’m Destiny, and I love ‘claying around’. I received a BFA in Ceramics from the University of North Carolina Asheville in 2020. I love creating works based on my imagination, sea plants, creatures, flora, and fauna. I love playing with textures, colors, forms, and building techniques. I explore different textures by creating my own embossing tools and mapping out patterns to bring to life by carving.
